Support of adult education in Belarus

(2009-2021)

The project “Support of adult education in Belarus” is the central project of the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Belarus. Implementation of the project started in 2009 and coincided with launching of the Representative Office . The project is being financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Within this very project that aiming at developing effective system of adult education the majority of the events are held by the Representative Office and partners.

Lifelong learning: model training program for andragogues

(2010-2011)

The programme „Lifelong learning: model program on andragogues training“ (2010-2011) within the Support Program for Belarus FpB) finished in 2011. The project was implemented by the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in cooperation with the state educational institution “Academy of Postdiploma education ” and was targeted at enhancing the quality of educational services in Belarus.

Belarusian school in Cham: from the chances to the rights for education

(2010-2011)

The project “Belarusian school in Cham: from the chances to the right for education” was being implemented through 2010-2011 within the EUROPEANS FOR PEACE programme with support from the Foundation «Remembrance, Responsibility and Future». The main objective of the project was research of the issue of access to education in post-war Germany and Belarus for different groups of the youth. The project is implemented jointly by the VHS Cham and the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Belarus. Teachers and students of the Robert Schuman Gymnasium as well as Belarusian students from the secondary school No.1 in Novogrudok also participated in the project.

Adult education, non-formal education and lifelong learning – contribution to the development of civil society in Belarus

(2010-2011)

The project was being implemented in 2010-2011 within the Support Program for Belarus (FpB) by the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Belarus, International Public Association “Education without Borders” and Public Association “Focus group” and contributed to the development of non-formal education in Belarus as an important instrument of additional adult education. On the one hand, teaching of the non-state educational organizations staff was organized, common concepts within the framework of lifelong education were worked out. On the other hand, dialogue between the country and civil society on the topics of non-formal education was established. For that purpose many large cities of Belarus hosted trainings, forums and the Festival of Non-Formal Education.

TOLLAS – Towards a Life-Long Active Society

(2011-2012)

The main objectives: to empower the representatives of the elderly generation to play an active role in local decision making; to improve the capacity of state and non-state actors to adequately represent specific needs and interests of seniors. Target groups: specialists from governmental and non-governmental social and cultural organizations working with seniors; seniors aged 55 and older in the Minsk and Brest regions.
