Discovering local heroes

An Educational Project for encouragung research in the field of local history is at the the second edition. This edition with the generic “Discovering local heroes" will take place between August 2019 - October 2020 simultaneous in Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

We bring to your attention AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT FOR ENCOURAGING RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF LOCAL HISTORY, the second edition: The contest with the generic “Discovering local heroes”, which will take place between August 2019 - October 2020 simultaneous in Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The project aims is to stimulate the interest of young people from secondary and university education level for research and reconsideration of local history. The project is carried out with the financial support of the German Foreign Ministry, in collaboration with the European network EUSTORY, established by the Körber-Stiftung Foundation, in Hamburg, Germany.

In Moldova, the project will be carried out through the cooperation of AO "DVV International Moldova", Representation in the Republic of Moldova of the German Association for Adult Education, in collaboration with ANTIM - National Association of Young Historians of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) .

Since September we initiate the project activities starting with information sessions for history teachers from the Republic, conducted in the Romanian and Russian languages:

• September 14  - Balti municipality (with the invitation of teachers from Sangerei, Glodeni, Florești, Falesti, Drochia, Soroca);

• September 21  - Chisinau mun. (With the invitation of the teachers  from Ungheni, Telenesti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Calarasi, Orhei, Nisporeni, Straseni, Criuleni, Dubasari, Hancesti, Ialoveni, Anenii Noi, Cimislia, Causeni, Stefan Voda , Bender, Tiraspol, Grigoriopol, Slobozia)

• September 28  - or. Edineț (Briceni, Ocnița, Donduseni, Rașcani)

• October 5 a - or. Comrat (with the invitation of the teachers from UTAG, Basarabeasca, Ceadar-Lunga, Taraclia,); and the municipality of Cahul (with the invitation of the teachers from Leova, Cantemir, Vulcanesti);
