The training on "Social and Cultural Animation in the Local Environment – Methods and Inspirations" took place between June 22-24, in Chisinau, in the framework of the project "Learning Communities - Conflict Aversion in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova through Active Participation of Communities", implemented by "DVV International Moldova" in partnership with "Mostenitorii" from Balti. The project is funded with the support of the German Foreign Ministry. It is a joint project implemented by teams from Moldova and Ukraine that develop viable partnerships between NGOs and cultural institutions to facilitate dialogue and extend civic participation at local level.
Sulisława Borowska, a trainer from the Kashubian People's University, Poland, applied together with the participants a number of innovative methods in the field of cultural animation, among which there were "The Workshop of the Future", "The Benefit of the Animator" etc. Ms. Borowska presented the Model of the Ambulance Folk University successfully practiced in the Kashubian region of Poland. Also, during the training the Moldovan trainer Sergiu Lisenco addressed a series of strategies and methods for combating and mitigating the risks related to the sustainability of social and cultural projects.
