Project Objective: piloting of resocialization models by strengthening staff capacity in the prison system and the introduction of innovative methods of education for prisoners. The Project is realized by NGO "Light of Hope".
Target groups: prisoners from Naderzhynschynskiy and Bozhkivskiy penal colonies that are ending their sentencing term and are in 2 months before being released, located; ex-prisoners who participated in the exchange program "Social rehabilitation" and are released from prison; prisoners on probation term; probation and prison staff of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine and the teachers from vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy.
The project will raise the level of knowledge and competencies of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine employees and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The Project foresees the course for probation staff named "Resocialization - training courses before prisoner release" in two penitentiary institutions. The Project will conduct job trainings, retrainings with facilitation of further employment of ex-prisoners based on work training centers for future woodworkers and sewers.
