Overview

DVV International is the Institute for International Cooperation of the Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V. (DVV), the German Adult Education Association. DVV represents the interests of the approximately 850 Adult Education centres (Volkshochschulen) and their state associations, the largest further education providers in Germany.

As the leading professional organisation in the field of adult education and development cooperation, DVV International has committed itself to supporting lifelong learning for more than 45 years. DVV International provides worldwide support for the establishment and development of sustainable structures for Youth and Adult Education.

Representative Office DVV International in Moldova

Representative Office DVV International in the Republic of Moldova was registered at the Ministry of Justice of the RM on 18th of June, 2010 and has started its activities in 2011.

Activities: 

• Support local Community Centers in conducting adult education activities
• Strengthen human and institutional capacity of partners and stakeholders in adult education
• Assist in experience sharing by involving national, regional and international experts and practitioners
• Create and develop networks in adult education
• Build strategic partnerships with Ministries, agencies and local public authorities to foster AE in public policies and practices
• Conduct research in adult education and lifelong learning
• Lobby and advocate for AE and LLL
• Organize public campaigns, including Adult Education Days in Moldova, as well as round tables, workshops, seminars, conferences
• Prepare and print publications

DVV International Office in Moldova cooperates with civil society organizations (NGOs), educational institutions, and state authorities on national, regional and local level.
