Within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the training "Methodology and practice of adult education" was organized for employees of institutions of the nature protection of Ukraine, the first module of which was held November 20-21 in Lviv.
National nature parks have different functions, including educational ones. Each National Park has info-educational centers, but for qualitative performance of official duties and goals raising professional knowledge in the field of adult education is needed for responsible park staff. In addition to educating the local population, tourists also they will have the ability to assess educational needs and create training programs for other parks workers.
Within the framework of the first training module, the staff of National Parks from all over Ukraine learnt the general principles of adult education, how to conduct need analysis and choose target groups and the role of trainers. In the following modules, participants will continue to learn how to identify and analyze educational needs, they will become more familiar with teaching methods, and the development of educational programs.
