On November 11, 2023 DVV International Moldova in partnership with the Humanitarian Association "Christian Philanthropy" held the Adult Learning and Education Festival in Orhei. The event is at its second edition and this time it gathered many members of the community, representatives of the local public administration, guests from abroad.
The event was inaugurated by Adela Scutaru-Guțu, director of DVV International Moldova and Sergiu Aga, director of the Humanitarian Association "Christian Philanthropy". The festive atmosphere at the opening stage of the event was provided by a group of talented children from the "Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici" Theoretical High School (Orhei), who performed in front of guests, including adult education practitioners from Germany as well as members of the community members from Orhei.
The event aimed at reaffirming the role of adult learning (ALE) and attracting the interest of various decision-makers to support ALE. The event reviewed the long-standing collaboration between DVV International Moldova and the Humanitarian Association "Christian Philanthropy" which has been developed for about 8 years. Several thematic workshops were held for the general public:
Workshop "Learning an investment in the success of the person or enterprise" - trainer Nicolae Sangereanu;
Workshop "Learning as a value - The value of learning" - trainer Sergiu Aga;
Workshop "Individual choices in democratic communities" - trainer Daniela Padure.
The participants showed a real interest in the theme of the workshops, getting actively involved in the discussions and activities.
