Training of trainers course entitled "Theories and paradigms of teaching and learning. Roles of the trainer" took place from 27-28 January 2024 in the framework of the programme "Curriculum GlobALE" - an educational product, endorsed by UNESCO; created for the development of competences in adult education. "Curriculum GlobALE" - is a competency-based modular framework programme for the training of adult educators worldwide.
The training was attended by trainers from DVV International Moldova's partner organisations, in particular trainers from the Municipal Centre for Adult Learning and Education (CMIEA) in Chisinau.
During the two days of training the following topics were addressed:
- andragogical cycle of designing activities in adult education (needs analysis, design and organization of learning activity, implementation and evaluation);
- principles of adult learning;
- adult learning theories (behaviourism, cognitivism, constructivism);
- functions, roles and styles of the adult trainer.
The participants highly appreciated the professionalism and experience of the trainer Katarina Popović, a university professor and recognized practitioner, who managed in a unique and harmonious way to combine theory and practice in this activity.
The atmosphere of interaction within the training community created has motivated the participants to be actively involved throughout the entire stage. The inspiration and enthusiasm shown by the participants is a basis for the creation of the future community of adult trainers in the municipality.
The activity is part of the project "Professionalisation of Adult Education Centres in Europe" with financial resources from BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
