The German Association for Adult Education - Institute for International Cooperation (DVV International in Ukraine) announces a competition for war veterans and their families to receive business grants to start a small business in 7 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Nikopol, Poltava, and Sumy.
The competition for business grants was created for female and male veterans and their family members. The amount of the grant provided to one recipient (one grant per family) is determined according to the amount of the request and may not exceed EUR 10,000 (at the NBU exchange rate on the day of payment of bills).
Who can participate in the competition for business grants
A citizen of Ukraine over 18 years of age who is already an individual entrepreneur or is ready to start his/her own small business and who belongs to
combatants (combatants mean individuals in the meaning given in paragraphs 11, 19-24 of part one of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection", limited to the period of action from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023) or to persons with disabilities as a result of war (a person with a disability as a result of war means an individual within the meaning of paragraphs 1, 4, 7, 11-13 of part two of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection", limited to the period of validity from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023) or are war veterans (war veterans mean individuals in the meaning of paragraph 13 of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection", limited to the period of validity from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023) or belong to the family members of war veterans (family members mean: wife, husband or child of a veteran, combatant or person with a disability caused by war, limited to the period of validity from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023) reside and plan to do business in the following 7 target regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Nikopol, Poltava, Sumy.

After submitting the application, participants who meet the conditions of the competition will be sent an application package of documents to fill out, including templates of business plan with explanatory comments tables for calculations explanation of procurement within the tender.
The completed application package of documents from the participants will be accepted until December 04, 2023 inclusive (until 04.12.2023, 23:59) to the e-mail address: veteranproject@dvv-international.org.ua
All application packages received after the date specified in the previous paragraph will not be considered for the business grant competition.
Please note that only one application per person or family is accepted.
The decision to award a business grant will be made by the competition expert committee.
The announcement of the results of the competitive selection of business grants will be made public from December 15 to 20, 2023 on the official website of DVV International in Ukraine: www.dvv-international.org.ua/uk/
