December 4, 2023, marked the end of the call for applications from female and male veterans for business grants under the "Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities". This competition is aimed at supporting veterans in setting up their own businesses and ensuring their full reintegration into society.
Currently, the Grants Department is checking the received application packages for completeness and compliance with the competition criteria.
"Taking into account the fact that this wave of the competition was held without a training component, we are pleasantly surprised by the number of participants, the questions we received and the business plans we received. We are moving on to the evaluation stage by a qualified expert grant commission to announce 10 finalists who will be able to start or expand their businesses in 2024" said Yevhenia Stavytska, the project's grant manager.
The representative is convinced that business grants are one of the tools to support female and male veterans, helping them create a sustainable economic future for themselves and their families.
After the expert evaluation is completed, a table with the results of the competition will be published on the DVV International Ukraine website.
Everyone who applied will be able to track the results.
The project is implemented by DVV International in Ukraine with the financial support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
