Professionalization of adult education centres

"Professionalization of adult education centers" is the main project of DVV International representative office in Moldova, which is a part of a larger project of DVV International "Professionalization of adult education centers in Europe" and a continuation of the project "Development of adult education in Moldova", funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The strategic objective of the project is formulated for the period 2019-2027 and is aimed at presentation and dissemination of the results of successful pilot programs and best practices to attract attention to adult education issues at the level of educational policy and budget funding.
The long-term impact of the project is, on the one hand, to improve the framework conditions for ALE in the Republic of Moldova, so that public support mechanisms are created and socially disadvantaged sections of the population can better shape their lives by participating in non-formal education programmes and, on the other hand, to ensure that sustainable ALE structures provide diverse and accessible opportunities in the context of improved policies to support the subsector.
Project "CMIEA - Learning, Growing, Achieving".

Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education, is the first innovative educational hub in the Republic of Moldova, which provides access to quality adult learning and education opportunities for citizens of Chisinau municipality, an essential component for the development of the city's human capital.
This project is implemented with the support of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau City Hall.
The educational offer includes more than 31 different educational courses for personal and professional development. Courses such as accounting, photography, fashion design, foreign languages, public speaking, project writing, etc. are also available.
The beneficiaries of the courses are unemployed people, high school students, young people who are not yet students, retired people, employees who have a job but want to acquire new skills or want to grow in their career.
The project will be implemented between 2023-2024.
Orhei - The city of learning

Starting from 2023, DVV International has proposed a change of approach to the educational offer of AU Christian Philanthropy. The organization will offer a holistic approach and each beneficiary will have the possibility to choose the educational package according to her needs.
From the community of Orhei city and district, 50 women have been selected, who will have the possibility to follow an integrated course that will include 1 professional and 2 personal development courses, or 2 professional and 1 personal development or civic involvement course.
Depending on the needs of each participant, an individual educational package will be customized.
The acquired knowledge will contribute to the development and promotion of education among women in the Orhei town and his neighborhood, by providing the necessary course supports for professional and personal development, including raising awareness of the need for continuous learning. The new skills will facilitate and diversify the possibilities of further professional employment or entrepreneurship for the beneficiaries of the courses.
Education and reintegration

Prisoners remain to be the group of beneficiaries, elaborate in cadrul proiectului de catre AO Initiativa Pozitiva who need life-skills and soft-skills more than professional skills. Existing practice shows that no matter how unqualified the person is, what level of education he/she has, etc., if he/she does not learn social skills, if he/she does not solve behavioral problems, then he/she will most certainly return to detention.
The beneficiaries of the project will be inmates from 8 penitentiary institutions - men and women, aged between 19 and 49 years and residents of Catharsis Therapeutic Community from Penitentiary no. 9 - Pruncul.
The objectives of the educational programs, elaborated by Initiativa Pozitiva are to develop skills for social and labor market reintegration, to form skills for constructive relationships with family and group, to form a positive attitude towards non-offensive and sober way of life, social and labor market reintegration.
History Competition Project:“Disclosure of propaganda in 20th Century History – An Appeal for Peace and Development”.

History Competition Project for the students is approved for the 4th edition, 2023-2024 and is being supported financially by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the European network EUSTORY, established by the Körber-Stiftung Foundation, Hamburg, Germany. In the Republic of Moldova, the project is implemented by DVV International Moldova, in cooperation with ANTIM – National Association of Young Historians of the Republic of Moldova. The subject of the 4th edition of this competition is “Disclosure of propaganda in 20th Century History – An Appeal for Peace and Development”.
Partner organizations are implementing a project to improve history teaching practices in schools. The project includes a history competition for pupils of senior grades and the development of an educational course (educational toolkit) for (future) schoolteachers.
Also, the competition has the aim to create a motivating context for research in recent local history for pupils and their teachers.
