Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: One plus One

Efforts in the social reintegration of military personnel in Ukraine have gained new momentum with the launch of the second phase of the project "Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: One plus One."
The primary goal is to create conditions for the successful adaptation and integration of veterans and their families into civilian life by enhancing professional knowledge and social skills, thereby increasing their competitiveness in the labor market.
The project is implemented jointly with partner organizations across various regions of Ukraine, including:
- NGO "Podillia-Socium Center," Vinnytsia
- NGO "Network of Education Centers," Lviv
- Social Enterprise "Adult Education Center 'First'," Melitopol/Zaporizhzhia
- NGO "Center for Adult Learning and Education 'South'," Mykolaiv
- NGO "Cossack Alarm," Nikopol
- NGO "Adult Education Center of Poltava Region," Poltava
- NGO "Lifelong Education Center," Sumy
- NGO "Center for Humanistic Technologies 'AKHALAR'"
- Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives," Chernivtsi
- NGO "Equal Opportunities Center 'Paritet'," Zhytomyr
Who can participate in the project?
- Combatants
- Persons with disabilities due to the war
- Family members of combatants or persons disabled due to the war, specifically:
- Wives or husbands, including those of missing, deceased, or fallen defenders
- Children, including those of missing, deceased, or fallen defenders
- Parents, including those of missing, deceased, or fallen defenders
The DVV International team in Ukraine, together with partner organizations, plans to conduct educational and advisory activities for at least 2,800 veterans and their family members across different regions, as well as awareness campaigns to promote the services provided by partner organizations.
Veterans and their families will have access to educational courses on various topics, receive individual and group consultations on legal, psychological, professional, and business matters, and participate in rehabilitation programs and retreats.
At least 37 veterans will be able to receive business grants to start their own ventures.
The project “Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: One plus One” represents a significant step towards supporting and restoring veterans in Ukraine. The combined efforts of various stakeholders will ensure not only the enhancement of their professional qualifications but also their full return to civilian life.
