The cooperation between the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Association of People's Universities (DVV International) and Information and Research Center "Integration and Development" invite you to participate in project framework "Replace the walls by the windows", which will be implemented by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Germany.
This initiative is the logical continuation of the project "From creation to destruction. Ways of reconciliation in Ukrainian society ", which was implemented from July 2015 to December 2015.
The project "Replace the walls by the windows" is aimed at developing cultural cooperation in local communities Ukraine by strengthening the knowledge and skills of civil society activists, local cultural institutions, authorities and journalists within the framework of cultural and educational initiatives that focused on the support of cultural diversity and promoting innovative approaches to adult education.
During the project, cultural institutions, in partnership with local community activists will be able to expand its functions, to develop cultural and educational programs for different groups of adults, become a local platforms reconciliation, dialogue and confidence-building at local and regional levels.
The project aim groups are:
- NGOs activists;
- specialists of cultural institutions (cultural centers, museums, libraries etc.)
- representatives of government and local governments;
- journalists of local media.
The project is implemented from May to December 2016.
In the first phase, in accordance to results of applications for mini-grants, will be selected 9 partner organizations from 9 regions of Ukraine: Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Sumy, Chernivtsi, Lviv.
Grant recipients will be able to implement project initiatives by 30 November 2016.

The deadline for applications - June 3, 2016, 24:00 p.m.

Applications sent by mail must be delivered to the office no later than the deadline.
For representatives of organizations that will receive mini-grants, the project envisages participation in seminars and workshops on the following topics:
- Project and Financial Management (1-2 July 2016);
- Cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and Adult Education (mid-July)
- School volunteer from the idea - to effective teamwork (the end of September)
- School Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship (beginnig of October)
- Mediashkola for regional journalists (beginnig of August and November)
All participants of the educational program within the project will be reimbursed for travel expenses (economy class), accommodation and food.
Representatives of all partner organizations will be able to participate in the study visit to Germany and Poland, to expand their experience and establish contacts with cultural and educational centers of these countries (beginnig of October).
Presentation of partnership initiatives experience will be implemented in the form of regional round tables and meetings during the regional partner organizations (November), at the regional and national media channels, and at the pages of the web portal project.
At the end of mini-projects, participants will be invited to the Kyiv Festival for cultural and educational initiatives (December), which will take place thematic workshops Ukrainian and international experts working in the fields of adult education and cultural management.
