Issues of creation, regulations of operating, activity plan of “Club of Educators” were discussed during the graduation meeting of “School of Educators” on January 22, 2017 in Minsk.
The meeting was attended by the participans, organizers and trainers of the educational course “School of Educators”, alumni of the previous “Schools” held by Association of Life-long Learning and Enlightenment, as well as the invited guests. Certificates of successful graduation within the four educational modules were awarded to over 40 representatives of Belarusian organisations and civil society initiatives from all Belarusian regions. The authors of 8 best educational programmes, elaborated in the process of training, received special prizes.
Member of the House of Repesentatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belurus Tatiana Starinskaya, who also attended the meeting, congratulated the participants of the “School” on their successful graduation and stressed the importance of non-formal education in regional development.
As a result of the meeting the initiative group was created that will finalize the suggestions on the format, rgulations and action plan of the Club. The meeting was finished by the music performance Anastasia Khmel, graduate of “School of Educators”.
The long-term module course “School of Educators” was targeted at the development of competencies of young trainers for adults from all Belarusian regions. The educational modules of the “School of Educators” were elaborated by the team of Belarusian trainers in accordance with the recommendations of the global core curriculum for adult learning and education Curriculum GlobALE. The duration of the educational course comprised 400 hours (160 hours of seminar work and 240 hours of individual training). While working individually the participants conducted needs analysis of the target group in their region, as well as developed their own educational programmes.
“Club of Educators” has been created within the project “Learn to Act” implemented by the Repersentative office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Belarus in cooperation with the Association of Life-long Learning and Enlightenment and Folk High School Cham (Bavaria, Germany) with financial support of European Union and DVV International (the funds of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)).
