The last educational module of the “School of Managers“ took place

The last, third educational module of the “School of Managers” was held on August 25-29, 2017. It was dedicated to the topic “Networking, advocacy and using new media” for the representatives of NGOs and local initiatives from all over Belarus.

The team of the Belarusian trainers (Vitali Nikanovich, trainer, co-chairperson of the Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs and Veronika Sadovnikova, trainer-consultant, facilitator, coordinator of educational projects of NGO YMCA Belarus) together with the foreign expert (Diethard Heindorf, Hannover Folk High School) presented the participants with the possibilities of ICT in the work of a manager of educational programs, recipes of effective partnerships, platforms for “networking”, as well as ways and technologies of advocacy work by way of examples of successful informational campaigns in Belarus and Germany.

In general, the long-term educational course "School of Managers", that started in May 2017, was targeted at increasing the competence level of the participants in creating and promoting the programs of civil and non-formal education, strengthening their skills of using modern channels of communication, fundraising and project management techniques. Nowadays building the capacity of NGOs is impossible without appropriate activity planning, fundraising, running and promotion of their events. Therefore the School was focused on further development of such kind of professional competences of those people, who will be engaged in implementing social and educational programs and projects in future.

It is expected that the School graduates will take an active part in the work of the Club of Educators – the joint communication platform for educators, managers, activists of local communities – for discussion finding solutions in terms of non-formal adult education.
