"School for Beginners" is looking for participants!

The Association of Lifelong Learning and Enlightenment, with the support of DVV International Belarus, invites representatives of local educational initiatives to take part in the educational course "School for Beginners". Two-day seminars will be organized in November 2017 in Vitebsk, Gomel and Grodno.

The educational course "School for Beginners" for Gomel and Mogilev regions will be held on November 11-12, 2017 near Gomel. Deadline for application: October 25, 2017. Details here >>

The educational course "School for Beginners" for Grodno and Brest regions will be held on November 25-26, 2017 on the premises of the Regional Resource Center for the Development of Adult Education in Grodno. Deadline for application: November 12, 2017. Details here >>

As a result of training, the participants will receive basic knowledge on the creation of non-governmental non-profit organisations. The educational course "School for Beginners" is held within the framework of the project "Learn to Act".

The goal of the School is to increase the competences of participants in the organization of non-formal education programs, as well as the creation and registration of non-governmental non-profit organisations focused on providing educational services.

Main topics of the educational course are:

1. Non-formal and civic education as a tool for solving social challenges;

2. Organizational and legal forms of non-profit organisations and their peculiarities. Creation and registration of non-governmental organisations;

3. Non-governmental organisation after registration: accounting and financial management.

Criteria for the selection of participants:

• local and regional nature of the initiative;

• desire to create and register a non-profit organisation;

• readiness to develop a new educational programme for adults.

Additional opportunities

For representatives of local initiatives who participated in the "School for Beginners" course, counsel will be provided on legal regulation of educational activities in the non-governmental non-profit sector. Qualified specialists will help prepare documents for registration and, if necessary, will represent the interests of initiatives when communicating with registration authorities.

The graduates of the "School for Beginners" will have an opportunity to participate in other initiatives of the Association, such as the "Club of Educators" or Regional Resource Centers on Adult Education Development. By joining the community of teachers, trainers, andragogues, local activists will be able to receive support from colleagues and like-minded people, exchange experiences and best practices.

The educational course "School for Beginners" is held within the framework of the project "Learn to Act" implemented in Belarus by the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Belarus in cooperation with the Association of Lifelong Learning and Enlightenment.
